My teaching goals this semester are to incorporate more variety into group work for my students. My support system is awesome in my district. I have learned so many new strategies that can make my lessons more fun and exciting for my students. Teaching math, my students become very defensive when they have to do work. I know they may not like math, but with the help of my support system, I have learned a lot of new strategies. For instance, I have learned a new strategy to help my students interact with each other. It is called pair and share. I would have a warm up for my students on the board and they would share ideas and possible answers with each other for one minute each. I think this idea has helped my students become more comfortable with each other and learning to speak with each other.
